Gibson Arias is a scientist, artist, and photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Creativity fuels every part of my life, from molecular work in the lab—where I’m pursuing a PhD in biochemistry—to painting and photographing the people I care about. Much of my work draws inspiration from the organic shapes and unique chemical structures I observe in my research.
This creative space is free from hate and bigotry. In a time when the rights of people of color, queer communities, and women are under threat, supporting these communities is more important than ever. That’s why 10% of all shop sales in 2025 will be donated to Planned Parenthood, an organization dedicated to providing essential healthcare and advocating for reproductive rights.
If you’re curious about the intersection of art and science, would like to collaborate on portraits, or want to join me in making a difference, let’s connect.
